CABLE  CUTTER  INTEGRATION

Pyrotechnic cable cutters are operated by an initiator that activates a blade and anvil to sever cables or wires with precision.

The process involves the following steps:

  1. Initiation: A pressure cartridge, fully confined inside, produces gas pressure that breaks a shear pin.
  2. Severance: The gas pressure drives the cutting blade down the shaft to sever the target material.
  3. Release: The cutter is designed to sever both solid and multiple stranded cables within 20 milliseconds of initiation.
