Cable Cutters
Energetics Technology’s pyrotechnic cable cutters provide reliable and efficient severance of the toughest cables. Utilising automotive approved gas generators and precision engineered components, Energetics Technology’s cable cutters have unrivalled performance. Originally developed for military use the Energetics Technology range of electrically initiated cable cutters are designed to be compact and exceptionally reliable.
Capable of cutting braided steel wire, armoured electrical cabling, aramid and glass fibre cords up to 5mm diameter as standard. (Larger diameter cutters are available on request) . Made from stainless steel, the cutters are suitable for use in almost every environment. Used as winch cutters for fire bottles / extinguishers on aircraft.
They are corrosion resistant and hermitically sealed so can be used underwater. (Tested to depths of 30m)
The blades are precision manufactured and hardened to ensure a clean and precise cut through the toughest cables.

Cutting in Action
Reefing Cable Cutters
Light-weight, reliable reefing cutters for parachute deployment. Following mechanical activation of the firing mechanism, a pyrotechnic time delay delivers a precise severance of the reefing cord for a perfectly controlled descent. Application specific designs are available where the activation force and time delay can be tailored to customer requirements.
5mm Cable Cutters
Capable of cutting braided steel wire, armoured electrical cabling, aramid and glass fibre cords up to 5mm diameter as standard.
25mm Cable Cutter
Pyrotechnic 25mm cable cutter, electrically fired.
Milli-second action time.
Hardened steel blade easily cuts dyneema rope and steel cables up to 25mm diameter.
New design has side entry with retaining collar to secure target and prevent accidental release. Ultra reliable, extreme performance.
